Charley Hennigan (Charles Taylor Hennigan) was born on March 19, 1935 in Blenville, Louisiana. After going to high school at Minden (LA), Hennigan attended Louisiana State University and Northwestern State University. Hennigan made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Charley Hennigan's best year, as he hauled in 82 receptions, had 1746 receiving yards and caught 12 TD passes.
