Charley Ferguson (Charles Edward Ferguson) was born on November 15, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Central (Galveston, TX), Ferguson attended Tennessee State University. Ferguson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Cleveland Browns. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Ferguson also played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.

Most people believe that 1962 was Charley Ferguson's best year, as he caught 6 TD passes.
