Charles Jefferson (Charles Ray Jefferson) was born on May 5, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After going to high school at Capital (Baton Rouge, LA), Jefferson attended McNeese State University. Jefferson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
