Born on August 6, 1906 in Copperhill, Tennessee, Chad Kimsey (Clyde Elias Kimsey) played for the St. Louis Browns, Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 6 year career. Kimsey broke into the bigs on April 21, 1929 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 5.04 ERA in 64.1 innings pitched in 1929, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Chad Kimsey's best season was 1932, when he posted a 3.83 ERA.
