Celerino Sanchez (Celerino (Perez) Sanchez) was born on February 3, 1944 in El Guayabal, Veracruz (Mexico). He made his Major League debut on June 13, 1972 for the New York Yankees. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 0 home runs and 22 RBI. Sanchez played for the New York Yankees for his entire 2 year career.
