The Chicago Bears quest for their offense to match their intimidating D just took another hit. Cedric Benson will miss 2-3 weeks after an MRI revealed he had a minor dislocation in his left shoulder. He was hit during a scrimmage in training camp by Brian Urlacher and Mike Brown.
Ironically, Benson was named the #1 running back by Lovie Smith after Thomas Jones missed offseason workouts and pulled his left hamstring during a physical. Jones is out indefinitely. So right now, Adrian Peterson is the starting running back for da Bears. This is not what Rex Grossman needs to hear as he attempts to play a full 16-game season himself.
The D may have to carry the load..........again.
