Cecil Grigg (Cecil Burkett Grigg) was born on February 15, 1891 in Nashville, Tennessee. Grigg attended the University of Texas at Austin. Grigg made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Canton Bulldogs the entire time. Grigg also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Rochester Jeffersons, Canton Bulldogs, Frankford Yellow Jackets and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year NFL career.
