Born on August 19, 1883 in Ellsworth, Indiana, Cecil Ferguson (Cecil B. Ferguson) played for the New York Giants, Boston Doves and Boston Rustlers over the course of his 6 year career. Ferguson broke into the bigs on April 19, 1906 with the New York Giants, and put up a 2.58 ERA in 52.1 innings pitched in 1906, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Cecil Ferguson's best season was 1908, when he posted a 2.47 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 98 batters.
