The Cleveland Cavaliers traded oft-injured small forward Luke Jackson to the Boston Celtics on Friday for forward/center Dwayne Jones.
The Cavaliers have been trying to balance their guard/small forward-heavy roster and this is considered the first step.
Jackson, the 10th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, played in only 46 career games (four starts) in two seasons with the Cavaliers. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 rebound in 7.8 minutes per game.
Jones played in 14 games for Boston last year and putting up one point and 2.2 rebounds in 6.2 minutes per game.
