Triple-A baseball refers to leagues in the top developmental tier of baseball. Teams in the PCL and the IL are affiliated one-to-one with major league parent clubs. La Liga Mexicana (The Mexican League) is given triple-A status but its players are not under direct major league contracts and their clubs are not directly affiliated team-for-team.
