Cass Michaels (Casimir Eugene Michaels) was born on March 4, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on August 19, 1943 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 2 home runs and 54 RBI. Michaels played for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Cass Michaels's best season was 1949, when he hit for a .308 average and knocked in 83 runs.
