Carroll Vogelear (Carroll Robert Vogelaar) was born on April 8, 1920 in Idyllwild, California. After going to high school at Hemet (CA), Vogelear attended Loyola Marymount University and the University of San Francisco. Vogelear made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks, New York Yanks and New York Bulldogs over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1949 was Carroll Vogelear's best year.
