Carroll Dale (Carroll Wayne Dale) was born on April 24, 1938 in Wise, Virginia. After going to high school at J.J. Kelly (Wise, VA), Dale attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Dale made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that 1968 was Carroll Dale's best year, as he hauled in 42 receptions, had 818 receiving yards and caught 8 TD passes.
