Carlos Bernier (Carlos (Rodriguez) Bernier) was born on January 28, 1927 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1953 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1953, his rookie year, he hit .213 with 3 home runs and 31 RBI. Bernier played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
