Carlos Baerga (Carlos Obed (Ortiz) Baerga) was born on November 4, 1968 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1990 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1990, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 7 home runs and 47 RBI. Baerga played for the Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Carlos Baerga's best season was 1993, when he slugged 21 home runs, hit for a .321 average and knocked in 114 runs.
