Born on January 7, 1958 in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Carlos Diaz (Carlos Antonio Diaz) played for the New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 5 year career. Diaz broke into the bigs on June 30, 1982 with the New York Mets, and put up a 2.05 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Carlos Diaz's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.61 ERA and struck out 73 batters.
