Carl Ward (Carl Davis Ward) was born on July 26, 1944 in Hartsond, Alabama. After going to high school at Robert A. Taft (Cincinnati, OH), Ward attended the University of Michigan. Ward made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1967 was Carl Ward's best year.
