Carl Thiele (Carl L. Thiele) was born on November 14, 1892 in Dayton, Ohio. Thiele attended Denison University. Thiele made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Dayton Triangles. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Dayton Triangles the entire time. Thiele also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Dayton Triangles the entire time.
