Carl Taylor (Carl Means Taylor) was born on January 20, 1944 in Sarasota, Florida. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1968 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .348 with 4 home runs and 33 RBI. Taylor played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Carl Taylor's best season was 1969, when he hit for a .348 average.
