Carl Reynolds (Carl Nettles Reynolds) was born on February 1, 1903 in LaRue, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1927 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1928, his rookie year, he hit .323 with 2 home runs and 36 RBI. Reynolds played for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that Carl Reynolds's best season was 1930, when he slugged 22 home runs, hit for a .359 average and knocked in 104 runs.
