Carl Painter (Carl Drew Painter) was born on May 10, 1964 in Norfolk, Virginia. After going to high school at Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA), Painter attended Hampton University. Painter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1988 was Carl Painter's best year.
