Carl Johnson (Carl Knud Johnson) was born on December 26, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona. After going to high school at South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ), Johnson attended Phoenix College and the University of Nebraska. Johnson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 2 year career.
