Carl Hanke (Carl Christopher Hanke) was born on December 31, 1897 in , MN. Hanke attended the University of Minnesota. Hanke made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Hammond Pros. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Hammond Pros the entire time. Hanke also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Hammond Pros and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1921 was Carl Hanke's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
