Carl Doyle

Born on July 30, 1912 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Carl Doyle (William Carl Doyle) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Brooklyn Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career. Doyle broke into the bigs on August 5, 1935 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 5.99 ERA in 79.2 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
