Carl Davis (Carl Lewis Davis) was born on May 19, 1903 in Charleston, West Virginia. After going to high school at Charleston (WV), Davis attended the University of Michigan and West Virginia University. Davis made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the Newark Bears. He played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Newark Bears the entire time. Davis also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Frankford Yellow Jackets the entire time.
