Carl Brettschneider (Carl Brettschneider) was born on December 2, 1931 in Dundee, Illinois. After going to high school at Dundee (IL), Brettschneider attended Iowa State University. Brettschneider made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Detroit Lions and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1962 was Carl Brettschneider's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
