Carl Allen (Carl Blanchard Allen) was born on June 25, 1920 in Haskell, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Magnolia (AR), Allen attended Ouachita Baptist University. Allen made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
