Carey Selph (Carey Isom Selph) was born on December 5, 1901 in Donaldson, Arkansas. He made his Major League debut on May 25, 1929 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1932, his rookie year, he hit .283 with 0 home runs and 51 RBI. Selph played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 2 year career.
