Carey Clayton (Carey Arthur Clayton) was born on August 31, 1977 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. After going to high school at Carroll (Southlake, TX), Clayton attended the University of Texas-El Paso. Clayton made his professional debut in the NFL in 2001 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 1 year career.
