Cards v. Astros

Those were entertaining games this past weekend between the St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros -- but it kinda felt like a battle for most mediocre NL squad. Neither one of those teams could win it all. However, it was awesome to see Albert launch one off of Roy Oswalt though. So, let's see -- will the New York Mets be hot in the second half?? Will the Cardinals get hot?? Will the Los Angeles Dodgers live up to the hype?? And who will the AL cream in the World Series???

While I agree it was sad at times, I don't think the Central is the most mediocre NL squad, I think the NL West is. The NL Central might be playing the worst right now, but when it comes down to it, when all teams are at the top of their game, the Central is stronger than the West. I also have to say that I'm sick and tired of watching Garner spend his bench in a nine inning game. Having to use Oswalt as a pinch-hitter in the 11th because you used 4 pinch hitters in the 8th and 9th innings? That's pathetic!
