Cardinal Fans Enjoy Your Second Half Soap Opera Starring Tony La Russa

My goodness, how long is the second half of the season going to be in St Louis? It’s fair to say most likely longer than Beano Cook’s seven-month nap. Any Yankee fans you thought you had big concerns! So we all have seen, heard, or whatever else there is, well unless one’s related to the Geico cavemen dudes that Tony La Russa broke one off in Albert Pujols pretty hard last night for all of America to see. Well, I guess if you’re going to do a Billy Donovan jam job, why not do it on a grand stage. The scene…AT&T BallPark…Trailing by one run with two outs. The bases loaded and Albert Pujols was waiting to hit. Instead TLR choosing to leave Aaron Rowand in the lineup to get his hacks…And oh yeah, you and the National League might of won the game, but the war you just created in your own clubhouse, that’s just starting!

Certainly the All-Star Game brings with it headlines, but something as to this nature of a jam job was complete unexpected and shocking to see! Well, if you thought you were distraught about watching TLR ram a Louisville Slugger up Fat Albert’s anal crevasse, I’m just guessing you’re not only one, but it fails in comparison to how upset he was after getting shafted as he took aim at the National League manager, which oh yeah, I almost forgot just happened to be La Russa of his own Cardinals …

"It's the All-Star game. He can do what he wants," Pujols said Tuesday night. "He does whatever he wants. If I wasn't expecting to play, I wouldn't have come up here." And we thought the Bud Selig-Barry Bonds drama was exciting enough. So what in the hell was Tony thinking, well, it’s obvious that he wasn’t…If he was, he would’ve treated Fat Albert better than a bag of Sunflower seeds getting kicked around the dugout so that players clean their cleats off with. Perhaps he was drunk and fell asleep on the job which he has a tendency to do from time to time. It’s one thing to not play players, players on other teams…That’s wrong in its own right, but not to play the NL MVP in 2005 and key to the Cardinals' win in the World Series last year, who’s not only the face of the organization, but the league as well, is flabbergastering to swallow. Almost as bad as drinking egg yokes…No, in fact this is worse that!

"If he wants to get upset, he can get upset," La Russa said. "Whatever he wants to do, he can do. It's America." That’s all you got? And just so you know T-Man, the dog ate my homework too, pal! This from a man who raised hell at the St. Louis media as they were being disrespectful to the Cubs. Now the Cubs are the Cardinals hated rivals and TLR goes and defends them, but when it come to Pujols he disrespects the man 100 times worse. Whatever happened to the thought of everybody plays in an All-Star Game? Wow, it only goes back to Little League or the Pee Wee’s….Whatever the case may be.

This remains undoubtedly confusing to say the least…And we all thought Jeanie Zelasko- Ichiro post-game interview last night was confusing. What does this all mean for the Cardinals clubhouse? That’s easy, it’s an unhappy place to be for the second half of the season no doubt. Now I’m sure LaRue will say in the coming days that he was trying to motivate his superstar slugger…Interesting tactic considering we know you have strange ways of going about doing it, we’ve never seen a Louisville Slugger broke off in somebody’s tailpipe to be very motivating! Does La Russa have it out for Pujols? Did they get in a fight at the poker table in the clubhouse before the game? Did Albert try to smuggle beer into the clubhouse? Aaron Rowand over Albert Pujols…Why that doesn’t even happen in the fantasy world, so why did it last night when Albert wanted to play? I guess the stars were aligned just right, huh (no pun intended)? What are we missing here? Of course we’ve all gotten confirmation that Tony is missing a brain and knows how to screw up his team! And somewhere Billy Donovan’s smiling…This makes his jam job look like child’s play!

Nevertheless…St. Louis, enjoy what promises to be a hotly contested second half on, but more so off the diamond! GO CUBBIES!

In conjunction with the Major League Baseball All-Star Break combine with another Wimbledon title for Roger Federer, LastRowSports.com Pick’em Poll wants to know what is currently the best sport rivalry? As a perquisite being up on your current events is a must! For this has signs of becoming a scientific poll!!! So pull your **** finger out of your ass and start playing with your mouse…Vote now bastards!! Please be kind and cleanse the mouse when finished polling in the Pick’em Poll!

This may actually propel the Cards to a good second half. Motivation, that is always the key to success. Doesn't matter where the motivation comes from.

Hopefully Christof. The Cards are in need of some help if they want to see the playoffs this year.
