Cap Peterson (Charles Andrew Peterson) was born on August 15, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1962 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1966, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI. Peterson played for the San Francisco Giants, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 8 year career.
