Can Yanks hit good pitching?

The Bronx Bombers have been putting up gaudy,crooked numbers against lame pitching staffs. The good news is that the explosion has propelled them into the pennant race. The bad news is it doesn't prove they are championship caliber.
Rings are earned by beating quality pitching. A prime example of this was the recent,"O'Neill" era Yankee dynasty. That team made a habit of beating great pitchers. The list starts with Pedro, "The Yankees are my Daddys," Martinez, includes Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Kevin Brown, Trevor Hoffman all were victims to a great Yankee team. The current Yankee lineup has a long way to go, before it can be mentioned in that class.
