Born on June 16, 1962 in Houston, Texas, Calvin Schiraldi (Calvin Drew Schiraldi) played for the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers over the course of his 8 year career. Schiraldi broke into the bigs on September 1, 1984 with the New York Mets, and put up a 1.41 ERA in 51 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Calvin Schiraldi's best season was 1986, when he posted a 1.41 ERA and struck out 55 batters.
