This was a game of great offensive performances in the first half by both teams. But the second half was all about the Calgary team. The offense blew out the Rough Riders, while the defense created 4 sacks and 2 turnovers. Calgary scored on 11 of 12 possessions in the game.

QB Henry Burris came out gunning in the first quarter. Burris completed a 73-yard bomb to WR Elijah Thurman on the second play in the first Calgary series.

K Sandro DeAngelis, last week's Special Teams player of the week, had a 26-yard field goal halfway through the first quarter.

The Rough Riders finally got on the board towards the end of the first quarter with a 29-yard field goal of off the foot of K Luca Congi.

The next Calgary possession saw another drive down the field. Finished off by a 26-yard pass from Burris to WR Nikolas Lewis to end the quarter. Stamps 17 - Riders 3.

The second quarter belonged to the Rough Riders, heading into the stiff wind. QB Kerry Joseph took over the field. Joseph led the team to the 1 yard line. WR Jason Armstead took the ball on a reverse to score a Rider touchdown. Stamps 17 - Riders 10.

DeAngelis made a 36-yard field goal on the next Calgary possession. Stamps 20 - Riders 10.

Joseph marched down the field again. This time leading his team to a 5-yard touchdown pass to FB Cory Hathaway. Stamps 20 - Riders 17.

The next Calgary possession was the only series that did not result in Calgary points, a lousy three-and-out.

The half was finished off with another score by the Riders, when Congi kicked a 31-yard field goal with no time lift on the clock. Score at the half Stamps 20 - Riders 20.

From the start of the third quarter, Burris came out running the ball. Eventually leading his team to a DeAngelis 35-yard field goal. Stamps 23 - Riders 20.

Saskatchewan's first play of the third quarter resulted in a Joseph fumble, recovered by Stamps LB Brian Clark.

Burris was quick to capitalize with a 13-yard run for a touchdown. Stamps 30 - Riders 20.

Joseph dropped the ball on the next possesseion but the ball was recovered by the Riders.

The next Calgary possession saw another field goal by DeAngelis, his longest this year, a 52-yarder. Stamps 33 - Riders 20. Followed by a 43-yard field goal late in the quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, the score was Stamps 36 - Riders 20.

Burris kept the hammer down in the fourth quarter. Leading the team down the field. Finished off by a Burris 5-yard pass to Thurman for a touchdown. Stamps 43 - Riders 20.

Joseph was able to jumpstart the offense leading his team to a 3-yard touchdown pass to Armstead. RB Kenton Kieth was able to score an easy 2-point conversion. Stamps 43 - Riders 28.

Burris did not come out for the next possession, but instead the 17-year veteran Danny McManus led the Calgary offense. His first pass was incomplete, but then he connected an 18-yard pass to Lewis. This was followed by a 29-yard run by RB Joffrey Reynolds for a touchdown. Stamps 50 - Riders 28.

On the following kick, Rough Riders RB Dominique Dorsey dropped the ball only to have it recovered by Calgary S Trey Young. This led to another 30-yard DeAngelis field goal. Stamps 53 - Riders 28.

Joseph led his team to another touchdown and two point convert. The touchdown was scored on a 12-yard pass to Armstead and the convert was a 2-yard pass to WR Matt Dominguez. Stamps 53 - Riders 36.

Final stats Saskatchewan Rough Riders. QB Kerry Joseph was 28 of 39 for 334 yards with 3 touchdowns and 0 picks. He also lead the team in rushing with 10 rushes for 62 yards and 0 touchdowns. WR Matt Dominguez had 7 receptions for 121 yards with 0 touchdowns. K Luca Congi went 2/2 on field goals and 2/2 on extra points.

Final stats Calgary Stampeders. QB Henry Burris was 13 for 23 for 263 yards with 3 touchdowns and 0 picks. RB Joffrey Reynolds 15 rushes for 110 yards and one touchdown. WR Elijah Thurman had 4 receptions for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns. K Sandro DeAngelis was 6/6 on field goals and 5/5 on extra points.
