Cal Ripken (Calvin Edwin Ripken, Jr.) was born on August 24, 1960 in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on August 10, 1981 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 28 home runs and 93 RBI. Ripken played for the Baltimore Orioles for his entire 21 year career.

Most people believe that Cal Ripken's best season was 1991, when he slugged 34 home runs, hit for a .323 average and knocked in 114 runs.
