You've got to be borderline retarded to think this was a good call. I could've shown you footage with Max Bretos and the FSC crew, but I'm too nice. Here instead, are Canadian announcers Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest for Rogers Sportsnet.

It was a bad call. The refs didn't do it on purpose and CONCACAF didn't fix the game.

My one problem with how this has been treated is that everyone was so certain Canada was going to score in the extra time and win. Did Canada play better at the end of the game? Yes. Were they up a man? Yes. Were they definitely going to score in extra time? No. The US could have just holed up and played for penalties where any momentum Canada had isn't as useful. Canada should be proud of their play though. They beat Costa Rica, outplayed the US and has shown themselves very well. If they keep the momentum up they could do well in World Cup Qualifying, perhaps even overtaking CR for the third spot.

That's a good point Crookedcap, but wouldn't you want to give Canada a chance to win in extra time? Even penalties?

Yes, because it was the right call. Plus I want the US to win fair and square, not through bad refereeing.
