Born on January 19, 1979 in Kwangju, South Korea, Byung-Hyun Kim (Byung-Hyun Kim) played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 8 year career. Kim broke into the bigs on May 29, 1999 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and put up a 4.46 ERA in 70.2 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Byung-Hyun Kim's best season was 2002, when he posted a 2.04 ERA, notched 36 saves and struck out 92 batters.
