Buzz Nutter (Madison Monroe Nutter) was born on February 16, 1931 in Summersville, West Virginia. After going to high school at Vinson (Huntington, WV), Nutter attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Nutter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1964 was Buzz Nutter's best year.
