Butch Wynegar (Harold Delano Wynegar) was born on March 14, 1956 in York, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1976 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1976, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 10 home runs and 69 RBI. Wynegar played for the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees and California Angels over the course of his 13 year career.

Currently he is the hitting coach for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Most people believe that Butch Wynegar's best season was 1977, when he knocked in 79 runs.
