It wasn’t clear for how many years the $350 was for, but this is ridiculous. Surely there will be some team dumb enough to fork over comprable dough, but wouldn’t it be great if ARod and Boras get screwed here.
I wonder how much of this “leak” came from the Yankees, and whether it’s true. If it is true, props to Cashman for saying now.
I’d love for ARod to end up signing for $200M with the Giants for 8 years. He’d get the home run record away from Bonds in his own park, but with his money and Zito’s, he’d be doomed to sub-.500 years for the rest of his career.
