Buster Adams (Elvin Clark Adams) was born on June 24, 1915 in Trinidad, Colorado. He made his Major League debut on April 27, 1939 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 4 home runs and 39 RBI. Adams played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Buster Adams's best season was 1945, when he slugged 22 home runs, hit for a .287 average and knocked in 109 runs.
