Buffalo beats Temple 9-3 in OT

7
Vote

In Turner Gill's first game as head coach, his team was victorious as the University at Buffalo defeated Temple University 9-3 in overtime.

After James Starks scored on an 18-yard run on Buffalo's first overtime possession, Gill raised his arms, turned to the cheering crowd and spiked his clipboard.

The fans then rushed the field in a wild celebration, capping a significant victory for the Bulls, who registered their first season-opening win since 1997 when they were a Division I-AA program.

Good thing for Buffalo that Temple didn't have Mike Vanderjagt.

Or not.

Thanks. Did Jeff Manto hit a 3 run Homer in the 7th?

Like making fun of Temple's football program is funny.

They're still celebrating that 1935 Sugar Bowl appearance on Broad St.
