Buddy Tynes (David Lane Tynes) was born on February 26, 1902 in Cooper, Texas. After going to high school at Cooper (TX), Tynes attended the University of Texas. Tynes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Columbus Tigers. He played for the Columbus Tigers for his entire 2 year career.
