Born on September 19, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, Buddy Schultz (Charles Budd Schultz) played for the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career. Schultz broke into the bigs on September 3, 1975 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 2.32 ERA in 85.1 innings pitched in 1977, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Buddy Schultz's best season was 1977, when he posted a 2.32 ERA and struck out 66 batters.
