Buddy Myer (Charles Solomon Myer) was born on March 16, 1904 in Ellisville, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 26, 1925 for the Washington Senators. In 1926, his rookie year, he hit .304 with 1 home run and 62 RBI. Myer played for the Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Buddy Myer's best season was 1935, when he hit for a .349 average and knocked in 100 runs.
