Buddy Kerr (John Joseph Kerr) was born on November 6, 1922 in Astoria, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1943 for the New York Giants. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 9 home runs and 63 RBI. Kerr played for the New York Giants and Boston Braves over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Buddy Kerr's best season was 1944, when he knocked in 63 runs.
