Buddy Humphrey (Loyie Nawlin Humphrey) was born on September 29, 1935 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Kilgore (TX), Humphrey attended Baylor University. Humphrey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 6 year NFL career.Humphrey also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1965 was Buddy Humphrey's best year.
