Buddy Dial

Buddy Dial (Gilbert Leroy Dial) was born on January 17, 1937 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Magnolia (TX), Dial attended Rice University. Dial made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1963 was Buddy Dial's best year, as he hauled in 60 receptions, had 1295 receiving yards and caught 9 TD passes.
