Buddy Blair (Louis Nathan Blair) was born on September 10, 1910 in Columbia, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1942 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .279 with 5 home runs and 66 RBI. Blair played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 1 year career.
